Badminton WA is a membership-based organisation. Our members are clubs, associations ("clusters" of 3 or more clubs), and individuals.
We genuinely believe that membership with Badminton WA provides excellent value - perhaps most importantly the personal accident insurance cover that gives you that extra peace of mind if you happen to have an injury - unfortunately this things may occur when we least expect.
We encourage individuals to register through clubs where they usually play - by doing so you support your local club and allow them to continue and grow. Clubs operate using different fee models, and the cost of membership may differ between clubs.
If you are not a part of any regular badminton club (for example, you only play casually with a group of friends), you can still be a member of Badminton Association of Western Australia and enjoy all the membership benefits.
For 2024-2025 - Individual membership costs $55 per year for an adult, $40 for a junior member(Under 19) and $40 for a senior member (over 65). We have also introduced a new membership called the WINGS Junior Membership that costs $35. This membership is meant for juniors who are enrolled solely into the WINGS Junior Programs and does not extend to tournament.
- Junior – a member who is under 19 years of age as at 31st December of the current year.
- Senior – member who is over 65 years of age as at 31st December of the current year.
2024 membership year with Badminton WA is 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025.
Note: According to the Associations Incorporation Act 2015, we are required to provide all new members with a copy of the Constitution of Badminton WA. The Constitution can be accessed at www.badmintonwa.org.au/constitution.
