The BWF recognises that sport science plays an important role in developing and promoting the sport through badminton-related research. It offers a scientific support and approach in the development of the sport in areas such as injury prevention, inclusive badminton, physical activity, player performance, coaching performance, Para badminton, dual career, sustainability and many more.
Over the years, the BWF has supported a variety of badminton related research programmes and projects. This includes the annual BWF Research Grants programme, Global Badminton Research project and Global Health Badminton Study. These programmes and projects are overseen by the BWF Sport Science and Medical Research Commission.
Similarly, Badminton WA is very well aware of the importance of Sport Science in this modern day and Badminton WA has been very fortunate to be involved in several Sport Science research projects held in Australia over the past years.
